Today I read a article about Internet Explorer. I haven't been a fan of Microsoft's browser. As a web developer it creates many problems. That said, from a user standpoint Internet Explorer creates issues of a different sort. Here is an article talking about some of the security issues. I love that the German Government has suggested not issuing Internet Explorer.

Today we had our first vision casting meeting for the website. It's going to be incredible. I'll keep everyone posted as we progress with the site.

Chico Chamber Website

Last week I designed a new template for a church starting in Chico, California. Pastor Jeremy Rhodes asked me to create a custom Joomla Template to work in their existing Joomla website. This was a fun project for many reasons.

1. I love working with Churches and meeting their needs. The work of the church is the most important work that can be done today.

2. Jeremy was a great client who made the design process very enjoyable.

3. This was the first Joomla Template that I created. I love the challenge of figuring out how to accomplish something that I've never done before.

Earlier this year I downgraded my cell phone service and added skype. I switched to skype for a few reasons.

Over the past few years I have visited the Etsy website. Sometimes it was to find a "New Item", other times it was to just find out more about Etsy.

Luthier Mercantile International Inc. hosts a guitar festival every two years. This year happened to be their festival. Being an avid guitar play and an aspiring guitar builder, I decided to go. One of the motivators for going was to meet Greg Nelson of Nelson Guitars. We are both members of Luthier Forum. I have to say that I was incredibly impressed with his guitars. He brought a small body walnut guitar that he had built. Very nice guitar!

Over the last year, my wife and I have made a few trips to the Napa Valley Area of Northern California. If you haven't been...It's worth the visit through out the year. The fall is beautiful because of the leaves changing color. Not only do the trees loose their leaves, but the grape vines too change color and loose their leaves. I personally enjoy coming into the Napa Valley from the North on HWY 29. There are amazing views as you descend the mountain into the valley.

I love New York City for many reasons. Let me quickly define what I am talking about when I say NYC. While all the "City" is great, I'm going to focus on Manhattan.

Over the years I've gotten many chances to visit the city. Fall and early winter is an amazing time to visit, which I consider anytime from October until the first week after New Years Celebrations. There is nothing like stopping by Starbucks in Times Square and walking up from Midtown and through Central Park.

I am excited about the new site we are launching. We are building in some great new features. Some of these features are:

3. A better Portfolio
4. Links the the websites or our team
5. Photos that I've taken
6. Twitter, Skype and Virb integration.

I think that the new site is going to be a great tool for Woodward Design Group! Let us know what you think so far!
